A meeting was held with members of the Public council under the Ministry at the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of  Population.

Vugar Behbudov, Chairman of the Board of the Agency, provided information on the institution’s areas of activity, social work carried out with persons from vulnerable population groups, the social services provided to them, and the projects being implemented.

It was reported that persons in need of special care receive mobile, residential and semi-residential services from the Agency. Various measures are also being implemented in a number of regions across the country to ensure access to services.

Detailed information was provided on housing provision for persons entitled to benefits, sanatorium and resort vouchers, the integration of persons with disabilities into society, and other relevant matters. The Agency’s objectives and efforts to expand the coverage of social services were also discussed. Questions raised by the guests on matters related to the Agency’s areas of activity were answered.

The views and proposals of Elshad Mammadov, Chairperson of the Public council, and other Council members were heard, and an exchange of views took place on future cooperation.
