According to Article 124 of the Labour Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan:
Employees studying in correspondence (part-time) programs of higher education institutions are granted leave of 30 calendar days per academic year during the first and second years, and 40 calendar days for the remaining years, for performing laboratory work, assessments, and exams. Employees studying in correspondence programs of secondary specialized education institutions are granted leave of 20 calendar days in the first and second years, and 30 calendar days for other years.
Employees in correspondence programs of higher and secondary specialized education institutions are granted 30 calendar days of leave during state examinations.
During the preparation and defense of a diploma thesis, employees in correspondence programs of higher education institutions are granted leave for up to 4 calendar months, and those in secondary specialized education institutions for up to 2 calendar months.
Employees studying in vocational education institutions without leaving production are granted 30 calendar days of leave per academic year to prepare for and take exams.
Employees in correspondence groups of general education institutions are granted 20 calendar days of leave to take exams in the graduating classes.
Leave provided for under Article 124 of the Labour Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan may be taken during periods specified by the educational programs, based on a certificate issued by the educational institution.
