Social indicators for the first five months
A total of AZN 3.262 billion was allocated for pension payments during the first five months of this year, representing an increase of 10 percent (AZN 308 million) compared to the corresponding period of last year.
Since the beginning of the year, pensions have been increased through indexation by 9.3 percent. As of June 1, 2026, the average monthly pension amounted to AZN 594, up 10 percent compared to the same period last year. The average monthly old-age pension reached AZN 632.
During January–May, 19 thousand pensions were assigned proactively through the electronic system. Since the introduction of the electronic pension assignment mechanism in early 2019, a total of 197 thousand pensions have been granted proactively via the e-system.
