Social Indicators for the Eight-Month Period

The State Social Protection Fund (DSMF) under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population paid AZN 1.503 billion in allowances and monthly Presidential pensions to 1.1 million people during January–August this year.

Of them:

            •           AZN 844 million was paid to 515,000 people in allowances;

            •           AZN 542 million was paid to 406,000 people in Presidential pensions;

            •           AZN 117 million was paid to 179,000 people in social insurance benefits.

Compared with the same period last year, the amount of payments increased by 11 percent for allowances, 12 percent for pensions, and 5 percent for social insurance benefits.

During the first eight months of this year, another 98,000 allowances and pensions were assigned proactively through the e-system. Since 2019, when electronic assignment of social payments was introduced, a total of 977,000 allowances and pensions have been assigned proactively through the e-system.
