Two more specialised Social Service Centres operated by the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population have commenced operations.

Rehabilitation services will be provided by qualified specialists to individuals in difficult life circumstances at the Centres located in the Hajigabul and Goychay districts.

Psychological, pedagogical, speech therapy and activity therapy services will be organised for children in need of special care. The parents of beneficiaries will also participate in relevant training programmes aimed at enhancing their parenting skills.

Including the newly opened centres, the Agency now operates seven Social Service Centres across the country (Absheron, Sabunchu, Narimanov, Yasamal, Aghdam, Hajigabul and Goychay), as well as one Social Service Office in the city of Sumgayit. Nearly 300 people currently receive state support at these centres.
