This year, 28 persons with visual impairments received services at the Shelter and Social Rehabilitation Institution for Vulnerable Population Groups under the Social Services Agency of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population.
The institution’s social rehabilitation and recovery department for persons with visual impairments accepts individuals aged 5–29 years.
Beneficiaries participate in social, medical, pedagogical, sports, and psychological rehabilitation services. In addition, they are taught to use the Braille alphabet and tactile learning tools, and work is carried out to enhance foot sensitivity.
Persons with visual impairments are also involved in various activities aimed at the effective organization of their leisure time. Excursions and training sessions are organized for them.
