The State Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population targeted to involve more than 420 thousand people in active employment programs this year, which is more than last year.
This was noted at the next info session held at the Ministry. Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population Anar Aliyev emphasized that important steps have been taken in recent years to expand these programs year by year, as one of the main priorities, and this process will continue in the coming period.
The info session noted that in the past year, the Agency has involved more than 400 thousand people in active employment programs, of which 160 thousand unemployed and job seekers have been provided with jobs, and 15,6 thousand people have been involved in vocational training. This year, it was stated that the Agency's employment indicator is planned to be increased to 165 thousand. It was noted that more than 86 percent of residents resettled in the liberated territories have been provided with employment, and measures in this area are being continued. The work done in the areas of supporting vulnerable groups' access to the labour market, expanding the scope of digitalization in employment measures was brought to attention.
The activities of the DOST Job Center under the Ministry and the implementation of the paid public works program were discussed. It was noted that this program provides initial professional skills, the importance of integrating unemployed and job seekers without qualifications into the labour market, and that joint projects with various organizations allow those involved in the program to gain initial professional skills.
The results of the work carried out by the National Observatory on Labour Market and Social Protection Issues under the Ministry in the areas of survey-monitoring, analysis-research, evaluation and training-development were brought to attention, as well as the measures and targets for conducting surveys and analyzes within the framework of labour market research.
The work done and targets in the mentioned areas were discussed.
