The number of rehabilitation services provided to persons with disabilities in the institutions of the State Medical and Social Expertise and Rehabilitation Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population has increased more than fivefold since 2018, reaching 70 types.
As part of the social reforms in recent years, along with the establishment of a modern rehabilitation system in the country, the introduction of new services based on advanced global practices and the biopsychosocial model has also been ensured.
These services have been significantly expanded to include robotic rehabilitation, alternative rehabilitation, hippotherapy, yoga, dance ability, mobile and community-based rehabilitation, tele-rehabilitation, social-psychological support for oncology patients, the rehabus project, and more.
It is worth noting that as a result of the ongoing reforms, the annual number of persons with disabilities receiving rehabilitation services has increased tenfold compared to 2018. In 2024 alone, more than 123000 persons with disabilities were provided with nearly 1 million rehabilitation services by the Agency.
