The "Box for newborn baby girls" project was implemented by the Social Support Center under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.
The project covered Shamakhi, Tovuz, Masalli regions at the initial stage.
90 families with newborn baby girls were presented with a box containing accessories for babies, a set of clothes and educational instructions on child care and early education in those regions.
The aim is to stimulate the prevention of gender selection of children before birth, and to provide support to families where female children are born.
The project is planned to be implemented in other regions in stages.
