On the fifth day of the World Urban Forum 13, the presentations and programs of the DOST Inclusive Development and Creativity Center, operating under Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population, continued to attract significant attention.
Today, representatives of the Ministry and the Center delivered a presentation at the Azerbaijan pavilion on the topic “Building an Inclusive Society: Rights and Opportunities.” During the presentation event, Melvine Wajiri, head of the international organization PEP Africa, met with beneficiaries from vulnerable groups at the Center. She described the activities of the DOST Inclusive Development and Creativity Center as a unique initiative promoting the development of an inclusive society model and social equality.
As part of the special programs held in the “Urban Expo” exhibition area, trainers and beneficiaries of the Center’s capoeira program, together with members of the Azerbaijan Capoeira Federation, presented an engaging capoeira show. The concert program and ceramics master class organized with the participation of the Center’s creative team introduced visitors to some of the finest examples of Azerbaijani art.
The programs aimed at promoting an inclusive creative environment and supporting the social adaptation of persons from vulnerable groups were also warmly welcomed by foreign guests attending the forum.
Certificates of appreciation were presented to young people involved in the “Inclusive DOST” subprogram of the Volunteer DOST Program for their active participation in the events held within the framework of WUF13.
It should be noted that the Center’s pavilion, organized under the theme “A Space Where Inclusion and Creativity Meet,” will also remain open to visitors of the “Urban Expo” exhibition tomorrow.
