The new law signed by President Ilham Aliyev "On the provision of one-time financial assistance to persons who participated in the Second World War in 1941-1945, widows of soldiers who died or later died, and persons awarded with orders and medals for selfless work on the home front" April 26, 2023 The Decree dated 2011 is another manifestation of high attention and concern for citizens of that category.
According to the order, on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the Victory in the Second World War, one-time aid in the amount of 1500 manat will be paid to each of the 57 people who participated in that war.
Widows of soldiers who died or later died in the Second World War, persons who were awarded orders and medals for selfless work on the rear front during the Second World War, who performed tasks for the benefit of the army and navy within the rear borders of the battle fronts or the operational zones of the warring fleets during the Second World War. One-time aid in the amount of 750 AZN will be given to each of the 3,672 employees of special formations, those who were awarded medals and badges for the defense of Leningrad during the Second World War, as well as those who participated in the siege of Leningrad.
Thus, the Order will cover 3729 persons.
2.9 million manats have been allocated from the reserve fund of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan provided for in the 2023 state budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the provision of one-time financial assistance.
The one-time financial assistance by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population will be transferred to the bank accounts of the participants of the Second World War and other relevant persons.
