Next year, nearly 450,000 individuals will be involved in active employment measures
The Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) plays an important role not only in providing relevant insurance payments but also in expanding active employment measures.
Next year, the Fund’s revenues are projected to reach 238.3 million manats, which is 31.9 million manats (15.5 percent) more compared to this year.
The expenditures of the UIF are forecasted to be 266.4 million manats, which is 5.7 million manats (2.2 percent) more compared to the current year.
These expenditures are planned to be directed to unemployment insurance payments, as well as to:
- implementation of the self-employment programme,
- organisation of vocational training, paid public works, and additional education,
- provision of career guidance counselling services,
- preparation of occupational standards,
- financing part of salaries in social workplaces,
- creation of social enterprises, implementation of targeted programmes,
- and other active employment measures.
Overall, nearly 450,000 individuals will be involved in active employment measures in 2026 using the resources of the UIF.
The UIF will continue to provide significant support next year to the ongoing successful implementation of the self-employment programme, which enables unemployed and job-seeking individuals to engage in small business activities.
It is planned to establish small household businesses for 15 thousand families under the self-employment programme next year.
Of these, 8 thousand households will be supported using the Fund’s resources, while the remaining 7 thousand will be established within the framework of a World Bank project.
