The Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population currently provides home (mobile) social and household services to 410 families. 341 of them are elderly, and the rest are disabled couples.
Home (mobile) social and household services are provided by a social worker and a social assistant, depending on the nature of the service.
Social assistants visit the homes of lonely elderly and disabled people twice a week and assist them in household chores, purchasing basic necessities, etc., while social workers assist them in organizing legal documentation and social protection measures.
The Agency currently provides home (mobile) social and household services to a total of 3231 people. Of these, 2957 are elderly. Of the persons served, 2478 are women and 753 are men.
