One of the activity areas of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population is the provision of social services to socially vulnerable categories of citizens.
Within the institutions of the Social Services Agency under the Ministry, as well as through projects implemented via social orders, rehabilitation-oriented social services are provided to these individuals. In addition, home-based social and domestic services are delivered to lonely elderly persons and persons with disabilities. Social rehabilitation activities are also carried out for repatriates, victims of domestic violence, and persons released from penitentiary institutions.
In recent years, significant steps have been taken to expand the scope of social services, improve access for vulnerable groups, and introduce innovative solutions in this field.
The upcoming episode of the “Social Hour” programme will focus on social services provided to vulnerable population groups.
The live broadcast will take place on 30 April at 11:30 on DOST TV. The guest of the programme will be Advisor to the Chairperson of the Board of the Social Services Agency, Tünzalə Verdiyeva, who will discuss the topic and answer viewers’ questions.
