This year, the State Medical-Social Expertise and Rehabilitation Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population delivered and provided the necessary rehabilitation aids to the homes of more than 130 additional persons with disabilities.
A total of up to 5,500 rehabilitation aids were provided to them, including motorized wheelchairs, wheelchairs for indoor and outdoor use with sanitary equipment, static verticalizers, canes, forearm and underarm crutches, four-legged support devices, absorbent pads, and other aids.
It should be noted that for persons with disabilities who are unable to come to Baku themselves or through their relatives to the Agency’s Prosthetic-Orthopedic Manufacturing and Rehabilitation Center to obtain the required rehabilitation aids, these aids are delivered directly to their homes.
