Another 23 Azerbaijani citizens (7 women and 16 children) repatriated from Syria by the Government of Azerbaijan have been placed in a relevant social service institution operated by the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population.
The repatriated individuals were provided with initial medical and socio-psychological assistance. Upon completion of their rehabilitation process, they will return to their homes.
At the next stage, the Agency’s social workers and psychologists will visit their places of residence and conduct detailed assessments.
In recent years, the Social Services Agency has involved more than 600 repatriated individuals in social rehabilitation services. Currently, social rehabilitation work is continuing with 76 repatriates.
