Psychosocial support measures have been initiated for five more Azerbaijani citizens (2 women and 3 children) repatriated to the country from the Syrian Arab Republic by the Government of Azerbaijan. The individuals have been placed in a relevant social service institution under the Social Services Agency operating under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population.
The repatriated persons have been provided with initial medical assistance as well as social and psychological support.
Following the completion of their rehabilitation process, the individuals will be returned to their homes. At the next stage, social workers and psychologists from the Agency will visit their places of residence to conduct detailed assessments. Appropriate support measures aimed at the reintegration of each repatriated individual into society will continue.
In recent years, the Social Services Agency has involved nearly 600 repatriated persons in social rehabilitation services. Currently, social rehabilitation work is ongoing with 49 repatriates.
