Another 16 Azerbaijani citizens repatriated from Syria by the Government of Azerbaijan have been placed in a specialised social service institution operated by the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population. Among them are nine children and seven women.
The repatriated individuals have received initial medical care and psychosocial support.
After completing the rehabilitation process, they will return to their homes. In the next stage, the Agency’s social workers and psychologists will visit their places of residence to conduct comprehensive assessments.
In recent years, the Social Services Agency has provided social rehabilitation services to more than 600 repatriated citizens. Social rehabilitation support is currently continuing for 84 repatriates.
