The premiere of a new theatrical performance based on the play “Hovsan Onion” by People’s Writer Elchin Afandiyev was held at the DOST Inclusive Development and Creativity Centre, operating under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population.
Representatives of non-governmental organisations, figures from the arts community, parents of individuals from vulnerable groups, and trainees attended the presentation of the stage production.
The performance was developed over a period of more than three months under the direction of the Centre’s instructor, well-known actor Elshan Asgarov, with the participation of beneficiaries who are engaged in training programmes in stage performance and acting at the Centre.
In his remarks, the director emphasised the importance of stage creativity in promoting the social adaptation of creative individuals from vulnerable categories, as well as in fostering effective communication among them, highlighting the significance of this field.
The costumes used in the performance were produced in the Centre’s tailoring and artistic embroidery studio. The lighting and stage design were managed by Binyamin Sailov, while the sound direction was carried out by Farhad Musayev and Ruhin Ismayilov.
