Last year, small family farms were established for 1,284 persons in this category under the self-employment programme.
Alongside measures aimed at the social protection, rehabilitation, and integration of persons with disabilities into society, efforts are also being made to ensure their employment.
As part of these efforts, the State Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population provided employment for another 5,800 persons with disabilities last year.
Within the implementation of the self-employment programme, persons with disabilities are given priority, as with other vulnerable groups. In 2025, small family farms were established for 1,284 persons with disabilities under the programme.
To facilitate access to the labour market for persons with disabilities, vocational training courses are organised for them. In cooperation with the Azerbaijan Deaf Society, the Society of the Blind, various organisations, public associations, and employers, the Agency organises vocational training courses for persons with disabilities.
Overall, about 500 persons with disabilities were enrolled in vocational courses over the past year. Support was also provided to those who successfully completed the courses to secure employment.
