In January 2025, while investigating citizen complaints, the State Labour Inspectorate Service under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population discovered that employers delayed payments of over 26000 manat in social-related payments to employees.
As a result of measures taken, these funds were paid to employees by their employers.
Of this amount, 82,8% was related to wages, and the remaining portion consisted of benefits and compensations that employers were obligated to pay, as well as payments for damages.
During the investigation of the complaints, the Service also identified that two employees' labour contracts were unlawfully terminated, violating legislative requirements.
Following the legal actions taken by the Service, these employees were reinstated in their previous jobs.
