An online meeting was held at the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population with representatives of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus, focusing on ensuring gender equality and protecting women’s rights.
Rashad Mustafayev, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population, noted that bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Belarus continue to develop based on friendship. He highlighted that cooperation in the fields of labour, employment, and social protection is expanding in accordance with signed agreements.
The meeting focused on recent reforms in Azerbaijan’s labour, employment, and social protection sectors, efforts to ensure gender equality, and the positive experience gained in this field.
Yuliya Berdnikova, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Belarus, expressed her satisfaction with the successful continuation of bilateral cooperation in the social sphere. The meeting included information sharing and exchange of experience regarding efforts to ensure gender equality in labour and employment in both countries.
It should be noted that the meeting took place within the framework of the 2025–2026 Action Plan for the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between the two institutions on cooperation in the fields of labour, employment, and social protection.
