In line with the “Great Return” programme, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population is carrying out consistent joint efforts with employers to ensure sustainable employment in the territories liberated from occupation.
This was stated during a recent meeting held at the Ministry with employers. Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Population Rashad Mustafayev highlighted ongoing work to ensure employment for citizens returning to their native lands, as well as initiatives aimed at helping them acquire new professions and establish small family businesses within the framework of the self-employment programme.
Representatives of various institutions participated in the meeting, including the State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons, the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency, “Tamiz Shahar” OJSC, “Azerishig” OJSC, “Azerenerji” OJSC, SOCAR, the Shusha State Reserve Administration, and restoration, construction, and management service bodies operating in Aghdam, Fuzuli, Khojavend, Jabrayil, Gubadli, Zangilan, Lachin, Khankendi, Aghdara, Khojaly, and Kalbajar districts.
Information was also provided on incentives and privileges available for employees and employers in the liberated territories. Joint measures to further strengthen employment opportunities for citizens residing and expected to resettle in these areas were discussed.
