The number of participants in the “DOST Volunteers” program, which plays an important role in the expansion of the volunteer movement in the country, has reached nearly 8 thousand.
More than 6,900 of them have been engaged in volunteer activities under the “Young DOST” sub-program, while 134 individuals have participated in the “Silver DOST” program (for elderly persons). The remaining participants have been involved in other sub-programs such as “Distant DOST,” “Corporate DOST,” “Inclusive DOST,” “DigiDOST,” and “TeleDOST.”
Volunteers contribute to the provision of public social services based on the “one-stop-shop” principle and a citizen satisfaction approach. They assist in welcoming citizens at DOST centers, directing them to service desks, providing information, and supporting the use of electronic systems.
Participation in these activities enables volunteers to gain practical experience, develop skills and professional competencies in the field of public service, and supports them in taking their first successful steps toward personal development and career advancement.
