Social insurance is a form of protection aimed at compensating for lost wages, income, or additional expenses of individuals, as well as preventing such losses.
Everyone engaged in labour activity gains the right to be covered by social protection in such cases by participating in the social insurance system. In other words, upon the occurrence of an insured event, the insured person becomes entitled to receive insurance payments from the insurance institution.
The upcoming episode of “Social Hour” will address issues related to mandatory state social insurance, as well as the organisation and management of individual registration.
The programme will be broadcast live on DOST TV on 4 May at 11:30, featuring Huseyn Pashayev, Director of the Central Branch for Social Insurance and Individual Registration under the State Social Protection Fund. Viewers’ questions will also be answered.
