A holiday event titled “New Day”, dedicated to the Novruz holiday, was held at the DOST Center for Inclusive Development and Creativity under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population.
The event began with an exhibition of handicrafts created by the Center’s trainers and beneficiaries in its various creative studios. The exhibition featured works in artistic carving, floristry, visual arts, carpet weaving, embroidery, and other types of applied art, reflecting the attributes and traditions of Novruz.
It was noted that the Center, established on the initiative of First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, currently supports the development of skills and social integration of 159 beneficiaries from vulnerable groups—including members of martyr families, individuals disabled in the war, their children, and children deprived of parental care. These beneficiaries also receive socio-pedagogical development and psychological support services.
The event continued with a concert program featuring performances by the Center’s trainers (Teyyub Aslanov, Natig Shirinov, Samed Novruzov, Shahriyar Imanov, and others) and beneficiaries (Muslum Muslumzade, Ravana Aghamirova, Khatira Hajiyeva, Kamal Gozalov, Chingiz Mustafayev, among others). The concert included national dances, folk and composed songs, and musical numbers from the operetta “Arshin Mal Alan”. The performers were accompanied by the Inclusive Chamber Orchestra and Ensemble under the direction of conductor Mustafa Mehmandarov.
Talented volunteers involved in the “Inclusive DOST” subprogram of the Center also showcased their skills in artistic recitation, dance, vocals, and instrumental performance during the “New Day” concert.
