Additionally, small household businesses were established for 1,261 persons with disabilities this year within the self-employment program.

Along with measures in social protection, rehabilitation, and social integration, substantial work is underway to facilitate access to the labour market for persons with disabilities and ensure their employment.

As part of these efforts, the State Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population has provided employment for 5,505 persons with disabilities during the current year.

Persons with disabilities are also prioritized in the self-employment program. This year, small household businesses were created for 1,261 persons with disabilities through the program.

To ease access to the labour market, vocational training courses are organized for persons with disabilities. The Agency cooperates with the Azerbaijan Society of the Deaf, the Society of the Blind, various public organizations, and employers to organize these training courses.

This year, 458 persons with disabilities participated in vocational courses. Support was also provided for their employment upon course completion.
