In accordance with the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev, important work is being carried out to provide persons with disabilities resulting from the war with high-tech, latest-generation prostheses.
Following the Patriotic War, which ended with our great historic Victory, more than 500 servicemen from this category have been provided with high-tech, state-of-the-art prostheses by the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population.
In total, up to 620 latest-generation prostheses have been provided to them. These prostheses, distinguished by their activity and functionality, enable users to move freely, steadily, and confidently without the need for auxiliary devices.
In an interview with local television channels, the President also highlighted the work carried out in this area, stating:
“We have provided servicemen who became disabled during the war with the most modern prostheses at the expense of the state. More than five hundred people have been provided with prostheses and have returned to normal life. These are the latest model prostheses. They must be serviced regularly and replaced, because from a physiological point of view, replacement is necessary. Of course, we do this — it is our civic duty towards those people.”
It should be noted that persons with disabilities resulting from the war are also provided with high-tech special sports prostheses, enabling them to move more freely and comfortably during sports activities.
