Social indicators for the first quarter.
In the first quarter of this year, 4,117 individuals were provided with in-home mobile social services by the Social Services Agency and the DOST Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population.
Of them, 3,786 were elderly individuals living alone, while 331 were persons with disabilities.
Social workers provided them with services including daily care and meeting household needs, meal preparation and assistance with personal hygiene, as well as support with shopping and the resolution of utility-related issues.
This service is available to elderly individuals living alone and persons with disabilities who are in need of social services and do not reside in the same administrative territory as their able-bodied relatives or legal representatives.
