Social indicators for the nine-month period
In January–September of this year, the “Volunteer DOST” programme received 30,000 applications, and 1,106 people were enrolled in the programme.
The programme, which plays an important role in expanding the volunteering movement in Azerbaijan, operates through subprogrammes such as “Young DOST”, “Silver DOST” (for older people), “Remote DOST”, “Corporate DOST”, “Inclusive DOST”, “DigiDOST” and “TeleDOST”.
Volunteers assist citizens at DOST centres by welcoming them, directing them to service counters, managing citizen flows and queues, providing information, and helping them use electronic systems, among other tasks.
They contribute to the provision of public social services through a “one-stop shop” approach based on the principle of citizen satisfaction.
The programme helps participants gain experience and professional skills in citizen service delivery, supports their personal development and enables them to take their first successful steps towards building a career.
