The Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population held meetings with local residents in a number of districts and cities to promote the “Foster Family” initiative.

More than 300 citizens participated in the meetings held in Gakh, Barda, Bilasuvar, Shirvan, Salyan, Saatli, Goychay and Neftchala.

During the meetings, information was provided on the advantages of the “Foster Family” care model. It was noted that this model is an alternative form of care aimed at enabling children deprived of parental care to grow up in a family environment and supporting their physical, psychological and social development.

Information was also provided on the application procedures for becoming a foster parent, the requirements for applicants, and the selection stages.

At the end of the meetings, participants’ questions were answered and an exchange of views was held on the subject.
