A media tour was organized at the Shelter and Social Rehabilitation Institution for Vulnerable Groups of the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population.
Journalists were provided with an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the services offered at the Institution.
Media representatives were informed about the rehabilitation work conducted with vulnerable groups, the operational principles of the departments within the Institution, the forms of services provided, and the procedures for admission.
It was reported that the Shelter and Social Rehabilitation Institution for Vulnerable Groups conducts social rehabilitation work for minors who are neglected, homeless individuals over 18 years old, visually impaired people, and others in socially dangerous situations.
Those admitted to the Institution are provided with social, legal, and daily living services, including meals based on nutritional norms, snacks, accommodation, and clothing.
Admission to the Institution is carried out through applications from the individual or their legal representative, as well as referrals from law enforcement, local executive authorities, and municipalities, through the Agency's local institutions or "DOST" centers.
It was noted that last year, an additional 215 individuals received services at the Institution.
