A media tour was organised to the Baku Rehabilitation Centre of the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population.
Media representatives became closely acquainted with the facilities established at the Centre, the services provided and the physiotherapy procedures applied there.
It was noted that persons with disabilities are provided with inpatient, outpatient, community-based and mobile services at the Centre, as well as hippotherapy and social and psychological support.
Persons with disabilities wishing to undergo an inpatient rehabilitation course may apply to the Medical and Social Expert Commissions in the area where they are registered or to DOST centres. Those wishing to benefit from outpatient and other rehabilitation services may apply directly to rehabilitation institutions.
It should be noted that various services are currently provided to nearly 200 people at the Centre.
