Over the past year, more than 5,400 additional persons with disabilities have received rehabilitation services at the institution.
The State Medical-Social Expertise and Rehabilitation Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population organised a media tour to the Naftalan Rehabilitation Center.
Media representatives were informed that the 25-bed Center provides medical and social-psychological rehabilitation services to persons with disabilities. Over the past year, more than 5,400 additional persons with disabilities have benefited from rehabilitation services at the institution.
Significant work is also carried out at the Center in the field of rehabilitation of persons with war-related disabilities. In the post-war period, nearly 400 persons with war-related disabilities have been provided with rehabilitation services at the Center.
The institution, equipped with modern medical and rehabilitation equipment, offers services in the areas of therapeutic physical training, physiotherapy (electrostimulation, inductothermy, phonophoresis, electrophoresis, ultrasound therapy, laser therapy, therapeutic baths, paraffin therapy, etc.), therapeutic massage, swimming pool therapy, psychotherapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and other related fields.
Media representatives closely familiarised themselves with the conditions created at the Naftalan Rehabilitation Center, as well as with the medical and social-psychological rehabilitation services provided there.
