The State Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population continues implementing active employment measures for residents relocated to Lachin District.

A total of 1,235 of these residents have already been involved in employment measures. Of them:

• 1,180 persons have been provided with employment opportunities in the district, including 86 persons for whom small businesses were established under the self-employment programme;
• 55 persons have been enrolled in vocational training courses in professions that meet the requirements of the labour market.

Work is currently underway to support the employment of another group of residents. Their employment opportunities are being assessed and the appropriate employment programme in which they will participate is being determined.
