One of the key areas of work aimed at ensuring sustainable resettlement and social welfare for residents relocated to Azerbaijan’s liberated territories is supporting their employment.

Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population Rashad Mustafayev highlighted this during another meeting held at the Ministry with employers operating in those territories.

It was noted that close cooperation is being maintained with employers operating in Karabakh and East Zangezur, and that joint efforts are being carried out within the framework of social partnership to ensure employment opportunities for people returning to their native lands.

Representatives of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Science and Education, Ministry of Defence, State Border Service, State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons, Social Development Fund for Internally Displaced Persons, Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, Azerbaijan Transport and Communications Holding, Management Union of Medical Territorial Units (TABIB), and the Mine Action Agency participated in the meeting.

The results of measures already implemented to support the employment of citizens relocated, or planned to be relocated, to the liberated territories were reviewed, and future joint activities in this area were discussed. Employers were also informed about the benefits and incentives available for attracting qualified specialists to the liberated territories.
