A presentation was made at the meeting on the implementation of digital transformation in labour relations in Azerbaijan.
The 38th meeting of the Consultative Council on Labour, Employment and Social Protection of the Population of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) was held in Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan.
Azerbaijan was represented at the meeting by Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Population Rashad Mustafayev and Head of the State Labour Inspectorate Service under the Ministry Vali Guliyev.
In his speech, Rashad Mustafayev provided information on the reforms and achievements in the areas of labour, employment, and social protection carried out in Azerbaijan in recent years. He noted the significant increases achieved in wages, pensions, and other social payments, as well as the steps taken to strengthen the social protection system and expand active employment programmes. He also highlighted the major progress achieved in recent years in the digitalisation of services in labour, employment, and social protection, including the development of proactive services.
The Deputy Minister also delivered a presentation on “Implementation of Digital Transformation in Labour Relations.” Information was provided on electronic services established in the fields of labour and employment in Azerbaijan, as well as on the advantages of the “Labour and Employment” subsystem, which was launched in 2022 as a unified labour relations platform ensuring the transition to a digital personnel accounting system. It was noted that employment contracts are digitalised through this platform.
The digital solutions implemented in the social sphere in Azerbaijan were met with great interest and positively evaluated by the meeting participants.
It should be noted that the exchange of experience carried out within the CIS in the fields of labour and social protection contributes to the expansion of cooperation in these areas, as well as to the formation of joint and sustainable solutions to common challenges.
