March 8th is International Women's Day. One of the priorities of the state employment policy implemented in our country is to increase women's employment opportunities. As part of ongoing efforts in this direction, the State Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population had provided more than 55000 women with appropriate jobs in 2024.
The self-employment program plays a crucial role in helping unemployed and job-seeking women access small entrepreneurship opportunities. Through this program, last year, more than 7400 women were provided with assets, and small business fields were created for them.
Another important direction of active employment measures is the organization of vocational training courses tailored to the labour market's demands for nearly 10000 women in the past year.
These efforts have significantly increased women's participation in the labour market. According to initial data from the State Statistics Committee, the share of women in the total employed population is 48%.
