Also, the salaries of non-civil servants working in state bodies, hourly payment amounts for employees involved in teaching activities, and salaries of chief specialists in sports selection were approved with new increases.
In accordance with the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the minimum monthly wage will be increased to 400 AZN starting from January 1, 2025. In this regard, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a new Unified Tariff Schedule for the remuneration of employees working in state budget-funded sectors, aligning their tariff (position) salaries with the provisions of the Order.
The new Unified Tariff Schedule, which consists of 19 levels, includes salary increases of up to 16% across various levels. The salary for the first level has been raised from 345 AZN to 400 AZN, with proportional increases applied to other levels as well.
Employees whose wages are regulated under this schedule work in sectors such as social services, science, culture, youth and sports, agriculture, ecology and environmental protection, housing and communal services, transport and communication, land reclamation, water management, and aquaculture.
Additionally, the salaries of non-civil servant employees working in state agencies, hourly wages for workers involved in teaching activities at budget-funded institutions, and the salaries of chief specialists in sports selection have been increased under the new regulations.
It is also worth noting that the new social reform package, which will be implemented starting next year under the President's Order, will benefit approximately 3 million people. This package will include increases in wages, pensions, allowances, and stipends, with an additional 1,4 billion AZN allocated annually to fund these increases.
