The State Labour Inspectorate Service under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population organised another series of occupational safety awareness activities in the city of Khankendi.
A total of 232 participants, including employers’ representatives and employees from 30 enterprises, took part in eight awareness events held in the city.
The activities were conducted with the participation of representatives of the State Labour Inspectorate Service, the Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA), the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA), the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation and the State Employment Agency.
Participants were informed about occupational safety requirements and the provisions of the legislation governing the establishment of healthy and safe working conditions.
Information was also provided on the implementation of new national standards in the relevant field and measures aimed at promoting a strong workplace safety culture.
Key information on mine safety principles, existing risks and preventive measures was also presented.
Participants received handbooks, brochures and other informational materials, and their questions were answered.
