Employees of the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population visited Isa Alakbarov, a resident of Gumlu village in Gadabay district, on the occasion of his 100th birthday. He has been receiving home-based (mobile) social services for more than 25 years.
Isa Alakbarov worked for many years in the fields of finance and management and contributed to the socio-economic development of the district. He has been awarded a number of orders and medals for his productive labour activity.
During the meeting, Agency employees congratulated him on his 100th birthday and conveyed their best wishes, noting that he would continue to be covered by state care.
Currently, home-based (mobile) social services are provided to Isa Alakbarov and his spouse, Nazana Alakbarova. The elderly couple expressed their gratitude for the attention shown to them.
It should be noted that the Agency provides home-based (mobile) social services to lonely elderly persons, elderly couples, and persons with disabilities who are in need of social services and do not live in the same administrative territory as able-bodied relatives or legal representatives. At present, nearly 3100 individuals nationwide are provided with social services in their homes.
