Employees of the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population met with 56 inmates at Correctional Facilities No. 2 and No. 17 who are due to be released within three months.
The meetings were organized under the joint action plan between the Agency and the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice and within the framework of the “Human Rights Month”.
The inmates were provided with detailed information about the Agency’s areas of activity and the measures implemented to support the social adaptation of individuals released from correctional institutions.
It was noted that specialists of the Social Services Agency visit the families of such individuals to assess their need for social services. Following the assessment, they are provided with social-psychological, social-legal, and social counseling support according to their needs.
Questions of interest to the inmates were also answered during the meetings.
