The next meeting of the “Labour Market” working group led by the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population was held under the framework of the Commission on Business Environment and International Rankings.
The meeting was attended by Anar Karimov, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population and leader of the working group, Vusal Shikhaliyev, Head of the Secretariat of the Commission and the Head of Sector of the Presidential Administration, Nigar Vahabzade, Advisor to the President of the of Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation, and representatives from government and non-government organizations represented in the working group.
Presentations were made on the implementation of the 2024 Action Plan for the working group, as well as the work done in relation to the “Labour Force” indicator of the World Bank Group's “Business Ready” report and the Roadmap for 2024.
The meeting also highlighted the steps taken in areas such as the development of the labour market, improvement of labour legislation, expansion of active labour market programs, and enhancement of workforce skills.
Preliminary results of diagnostics conducted on the relevant sub-indicator and the priorities for 2025 were discussed.
The drafts of the 2025 Action Plan for the “Labour Market” working group and the Roadmap for the “Labour Force” indicator of the 2025 “Business Ready” report were discussed.
