176 beneficiaries from vulnerable groups are currently served at the DOST Inclusive Development and Creativity Center under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.
The DOST Inclusive Development and Creativity Center, which was opened in October 2021 with the participation of President Ilham Aliyev, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva and their daughter Leyla Aliyeva, is the first largest inclusive creativity and development space in the South Caucasus. The Center, which was created on the initiative of First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, aims to support the development of the creative potential of socially vulnerable groups.
The center’s beneficiaries include 104 people with disabilities, 33 people from low-income families, 28 people who have lost their parents and are deprived of parental care, 11 people are members of families of martyrs, people with war-related disabilities and family members.
38 beneficiaries are aged 6-10, 51 are aged 11-18, and 87 are aged 18 and over.
People admitted to the center are trained in different fields of activity (dance, visual arts, pottery, music, tailoring, fashion design, carpet making, weaving and embroidery, artistic carving, floristry, audio-recording, photography, cooking, stage performance, capoeira, etc.) participate, improve their skills.
Complex rehabilitation works are carried out by drawing up an individual development plan according to the method approved by the World Health Organization in relation to the beneficiaries. They are provided with psychological, psycho-pedagogical, defectological and other services.
