Halima bint Rashid Al-Zari, Chairperson of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority of the Sultanate of Oman, visited the DOST Center for Inclusive Development and Creativity under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population as part of her visit to our country.

Director of the Center Elnara Ansari briefed the guests on the activities of the Center and its branches, social inclusion projects, and measures implemented to support vulnerable groups.

It was noted that the Center, established at the initiative of First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, carries out continuous work to develop the creative potential of vulnerable groups, expand their employment opportunities and support their integration into society. Currently, more than 370 beneficiaries receive services at the Center and its branches and are provided with social and psychological support.

Through initiatives aimed at training and increasing social activity, access to the labour market for these individuals is facilitated and support is provided to expand their income-generating opportunities. The importance of the Center’s dostart.az e-commerce portal in this area was also highlighted.

As part of the visit, the guests observed creative activities in training studios in various fields and viewed an exhibition of handicrafts created by beneficiaries. Musical performances were presented by members of the Center.
