Within the framework of social orders of the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population, daycare centers for older persons operate in 6 cities and districts of the republic.
These centers, located in the cities of Baku, Ganja, Sumgayit and the districts of Lankaran, Gazakh and Tovuz, provide social-domestic, social-psychological, social-legal and social-cultural services to older people living alone.
Nearly 200 older individuals who do not live with able-bodied family members are covered by the services of the daycare centers.
