A delegation headed by Elnur Safarli, Chairman of the Board of the National Observatory on Labour Market and Social Protection İssues under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population, is on a visit to Vienna, Austria.

As part of the visit, the delegation participated in the General Assembly meeting of the European Centre for Social Welfare Policy and Research, held at the United Nations Office in Vienna.

The meeting featured a presentation of the work carried out by the European Centre in the field of social policy, and future research priorities were discussed.

Elnur Safarli addressed the session entitled “Tools and Methods – Deepening Understanding”, highlighting the reforms implemented in Azerbaijan in the field of social protection. The important steps taken to strengthen the social protection system, expand employment opportunities, ensure transparency in the labour market, and implement inclusive measures were outlined.

The meeting participants were also informed about the activities of the National Observatory. Surveys conducted by the institution, its areas of analysis, training programmes, and social projects were presented.
