Anar Aliyev, Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population of Azerbaijan, met with Vedat Işıkhan, Minister of Labour and Social Security of Türkiye, on the sidelines of the international forum entitled “SOCGOV 2026: Digital Analytics for Smart Governance”, held in the city of Khankendi.

The meeting addressed the significance of the “SOCGOV 2026” Forum organised by the DOST Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population. It was emphasised that the Forum also served as an important platform for advancing social services through digital analytics and exchanging advanced international experience in the implementation of smart governance models.

Information was provided on the achievements attained in recent years within the framework of social reforms in Azerbaijan in the digitalisation of social services and the establishment of proactive mechanisms. The significant benefits that digital transformation has brought to this field were also discussed.

The work carried out under the cooperation agenda between the two ministries was reviewed, and the importance of ensuring the continued exchange of mutually beneficial experience and information was emphasised.

Anar Aliyev also met with Sirojiddin Abdullayev, Deputy Director of the National Agency for Social Protection under the President of Uzbekistan.

The discussions covered the reforms implemented in recent years in the field of social protection in both countries, as well as efforts to expand digital services and introduce innovative solutions. It was noted that successful cooperation had been established between the Ministry and the Agency, with active exchanges of experience taking place.

The meeting continued with a discussion of future cooperation in the field of social protection.
