Social indicators for January
In January, AZN 612 million was allocated for pension payments, which is 9 percent (AZN 52 million) more compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
Since the beginning of this year, pensions have been increased by 9.3 percent through indexation. Following the increase, the average monthly pension reached AZN 593, including an average monthly old-age pension of AZN 632.
Last month, 4 thousand pensions were assigned. Since the introduction of the electronic pension assignment system at the beginning of 2019, a total of 183 thousand pensions have been assigned proactively through the e-system.
