As a result of the increasing dynamics of pensions in our country, Azerbaijan ranks first in the comparative ranking of minimum and average monthly pensions in terms of their dollar amounts when compared with CIS countries, Georgia, and Ukraine.
Additionally, Azerbaijan continues to hold the first position in this ranking based on the Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) of the minimum pension calculated in dollars.
In terms of the international dollar value of the average monthly pension, Azerbaijan ranks second in this list.
Regarding the minimum wage, Azerbaijan ranks second in terms of the international dollar value of the amount, and in terms of the Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) of the minimum wage, the country has risen from 4th to 2nd place.
It is worth noting that, as part of the new social reform package implemented in our country, the minimum wage has increased from 345 manats to 400 manats since the beginning of this year, and the minimum pension has risen from 280 manats to 320 manats as of February 1. Additionally, pension indexing and increases have been ensured since the beginning of the year.
